Video recipe: Mini turkey meatball pot pies

Turkey does not have to be only for Christmas. There are several interesting recipes with turkey meat, and this one by Laura in the Kitchen uses minced turkey meat to make delicious little casserole pies that are fantastic alone or served with mashed potato and steamed vegetables. Collect these ingredients and watch the video for instructions.

Serves: 4 to 6

Cook time: 50 mins

Ingredients:

For the Meatballs:

  • 680g of ground turkey
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup of breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp of poultry seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the remaining recipe:

  • 1 sheet ready-made puff pastry, thawed
  • 2 large carrots, peeled and diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 stalks of celery, diced
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 1 cup frozen pearl onions, thawed
  • 1 cup frozen peas, thawed
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • Few leaves of fresh sage
  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 tbsp of water to make egg wash
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
