Video recipe: Egg-free cup cakes with cream frosting

Eliminating eggs from your diet does not mean that your baking days have come to an end. Try this delicious egg-free cup cakes recipe by Bhavna's kitchen and you will wonder why you ever needed the eggs in the first place. These cupcakes stay great at room temperature for up to 3 days and you can keep the frosting in the refrigerator to decorate the cup cakes just before the event start.


  • 180 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 tbsp egg replacement powder (optional) 
  • A pinch of salt
  • 120 ml oil
  • 120 ml plain yogurt
  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chip

For the frosting:

  • 1 tub 8 oz of cream cheese or mascarpone cheese
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • Flavors and color can be added.
