Video recipe: Honey and thyme roasted carrots and parsnips

Side dishes of plain boiled veg are a thing of the past. Vegetables are delicious and versatile, and a little spice or aromatic herbs can make a big difference in turning bland, boring vegetables that are just on a plate because they are a necessary healthy addition to a meat dish, into a truly delicious side dish that will delight your taste buds on its own.

  • 450 g of carrots, peeled
  • 450 g of parsnips, peeled
  • 2½ tbsp of honey
  • 2 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp of fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
