Video recipe: Spicy pumpkin chilli beef casserole

Here's a fantastic one-pot-wonder recipe for a Chilli con Carne style dish including some seasonal ingredients of Autumn. Although it is a spicy dish it is not too hot for children, which makes it an ideal family dish to warm you up on a cold night. The ingredients are below, however remember that ingredient quantities are flexible while other ingredients may be interchanged with homemade or other substitutes as available.   • 450g ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 large onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 425g canned kidney beans, rinsed and drained
  • 425g canned black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 425g canned Great Northern beans, drained and rinsed (alternatively you may use cannellini beans)
  • 225g canned tomato sauce
  • 115g canned tomato sauce with garlic and onions
  • 820g canned petite diced tomatoes
  • 411g canned fire roasted diced tomatoes
  • 425g canned pumpkin puree (make your own)
  • 2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice (make your own)
  • 2 teaspoons chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
